DADDY DIALOGS
(music for an almost musical)
Introducing a unique look at common father / kid relations, featuring silly lyrics and catchy tunes, all rubbed with jazzrock sandpaper.
Thrust into sole childcare duties, a father seeking how to give his kid something meaningful, struggles with the very thing needed most . . . . . . his play time.

THOSE THAT MADE THIS STUFF UP
PAUL DENNY
Lyrics, Script, Dad
Born and raised a Husker, Paul moved to North Carolina to finish his degree at Chapel Hill. Fearing snow, he stayed in Charlotte.
Daydreaming during his varied business career, he paid close attention to the stories from those raising children around him, while he and his wife tried to raise their own. Common themes led to random thoughts which led to poems. Over beers, Paul showed these napkin scrawlings to childhood friend, Steve, who looked up with the exact expression he shows below, and said succintly, "Yah, I can hear music in this". Done.
